VALIDITY OF PASSPORT FOR TRAVEL TO PORTUGAL
Q: Does the passport have to be valid for a minimum period for purposes of travel to Portugal?
A: For EU passport holders the passport has to be valid for the entire duration of the stay, with no minimum period required. e.g: if you are travelling to Portugal from the 15th to 18th May, your passport must be valid at least upto the 19th May.
We suggest, nevertheless, that the passport is valid for a longer period, bearing in mind the possibility of unforeseen circumstances.
Non-EU passport holders need to have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of their return.
